An organisation such as ours has volunteers as its heartbeat and we are lucky to have so many amazing people volunteering across all facets of the organisation. Jenny and Dave Church have just stepped down from their roles as NZ Team Managers, and we want to recognise their considerable contribution to the New Zealand Team.
The list of all the ways Jenny and Dave organised the New Zealand Team like a well-oiled machine is enormous and spans everything from organising team apparel, making sure uniforms comply with ITF rules, organising flights and accommodation, shuttles for supporters, taking care of food arrangements, arranging accommodation and airport pick up and drop offs for the national camps, organising parent helpers and training equipment, booking venues for regional trainings, logging fees and attendance, getting people ringside and to podiums at the tournaments, making sure everyone has a coach on the day, sorting out scheduling clashes, getting everyone registered and with competition ID’s, sending news and photos back home, and being available to answer everyone’s questions.
